He derives his negotiating strategies and tactics from over 35 years’ experience resolving employment and labor-management disputes. He is a contributing author for Lexis Practice Advisor® on separation agreement negotiations. Stephen also drafts non-qualified deferred compensation plans, equity and quasi-equity plans, earn-out arrangements, and all types of short and long-term incentive plans.
Stephen litigates breach of contract, non-compete, employment discrimination, and wage and hour claims in federal and state courts.
Stephen’s traditional labor law practice covers many industries, most notably healthcare, where he represents both non-union and union employers. He has represented major medical centers and hospitals, nursing homes, long-term care facilities, registries, and home care agencies. He is a lead negotiator in multi-employer negotiations in the home care industry. He serves as management co-counsel on health, pension, and education labor-management funds.
